International travel

Catskiing.ca is the source for all the information you need to plan your catskiing vacation in Canada. The concept of cat skiing began over 30 years ago at Selkirk Wilderness, which is located near Meadow Creek, British Columbia, Canada.  This type of skiing uses ski hill grooming machines, called snowcats, to access untouched terrain for a great skiing experience.  It is very similar to heli skiing, but much less expensive.

Choose a place to go

Catskiing operators can be divided into a few catergories.  Some provide accomodation, and some don't, it varies from place to place.  Some allow you to come for a single or multilple day trips.  Others, mostly the backcountry lodges, book trips from 2 - 7 days in length. The place you stay, and what is included can greatly affect the price.  Make sure to look carefully at what each place offers.  Find an operator from our list of catskiing operations, or find one on our map.
